At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus said, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” At the end of his ministry, Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Followers of Jesus are always calling others to become followers of Jesus. This is true for all Christians and not just for church leaders. Mount Freedom Baptist Church seeks to provide everyone regular opportunities for mission involvement. We do several days of prayer and fasting for mission efforts in individual countries each year.
We have a close relationship with IMB missionaries and Mount Freedom members Kenny and Cheryl Morris in Panama and regularly partner with them in specific outreach efforts among the indigenous of Panama and Colombia.
We also work closely with Andrew Lalhmangaiha and his wife Masiami from Mizoram, India, as they work to equip local Christians to be missionaries.
In cooperation with the CKNB and the KBC we are beginning an evangelism and church planting effort among the Indians, Nepalese and Bangladeshis of Lexington. This will be led by Sindhu and Minati Pani who are members of Mount Freedom Baptist Church.
Our congregation also participates in these seasonal giving opportunities:
- The Lottie Moon offering for international missions
- The Annie Armstrong offering for North American missions
- Operation Christmas Child
